Cosmetic Grade Peptide Powder Dipeptide diaminobutyryl benzylamide diacetic acid
Dipeptide diaminobutyryl benzylamide diacetic acid
Dipeptide Diaminobutyryl Benzylamide Diacetate
Product Overview
Dipeptide Diaminobutyryl Benzylamide Diacetate (also known as SYN®-AKE, Snake Tripeptide, or Tripeptide-3) is a synthetic biomimetic tripeptide that mimics the mechanism of action of Waglerin-1, a neuroactive peptide found in the venom of the Temple Viper (Tropidolaemus wagleri). This ingredient acts as a reversible antagonist of the muscle nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (mnAChR), competitively binding to the ε-subunit of the receptor and blocking acetylcholine binding. This results in reduced muscle contraction, offering an effective, non-invasive solution for relaxing expression lines and preventing dynamic wrinkles.
The peptide is listed in China's Inventory of Used Cosmetic Ingredients (IECIC) and has been widely adopted in anti-aging skincare formulations, including serums, creams, eye contours, and facial masks, as a topical alternative to injectable neurotoxins.

Mechanism of Action
Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate acts on the postsynaptic membrane as a reversible antagonist of the muscle nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (mnAChR). It binds to the ε-subunit of the mnAChR, blocking acetylcholine (ACh) from binding to the receptor. This prevents sodium ion influx, halting depolarization and nerve excitation transmission, ultimately resulting in muscle relaxation and reduced dynamic wrinkle formation.
In vitro studies have shown that this peptide is a competitive antagonist at the mnAChR, effectively relaxing facial muscles without permanently impairing normal neuromuscular function.
Applications & Usage Guidelines
Recommended Use: Anti-aging creams, serums, eye contour treatments, facial masks, toners, lotions, and emulsion gels.
Recommended Concentration: 0.001% – 0.01% (10 – 100 ppm) in finished cosmetic formulations; typical commercial solutions range from 1% to 4% in carrier systems.
